They brought with them a vibrant cultural heritage that persists throughout the United States, but especially here in the Southern Appalachian region. Drop in anytime from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm and join museum curator Chad Bogart at Fort Watauga as he prepares traditional Irish foods on the open hearth. Learn about 18^th century cooking techniques and recipes that would have been enjoyed and adapted by the early Irish settlers of our region. Also, hear about some of the area’s influential settlers of Irish descent.
